BLS Course Description:
The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Each student will learn 1- and 2- person rescuer techniques for adults, children, and infants.
In the instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios via the use of manikins and various clinical tools. Students work with an AHA BLS instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam at the completion of each course. The course is for medical employees who require certification for renewal of their license or for employment. Many people such as hospital workers, doctors, nurses, dentists, EMT’s, paramedics, and medical/nursing assistants and anyone can take this course.
Our CPR training is inclusive of automated external defibrillator training, 1- and 2- person rescuer techniques, team dynamics, the use of bag valve mask devices (ambu bags for manual resuscitation), and CPR manikins for the compressions of adults, children, and infants.
